Dean Agah has been a co-investigator on projects that represent more than $33 million in research funding. His research interests include applied artificial intelligence and robotics. He has received multiple honors for his teaching excellence, including two university-wide awards.The concept of fuzzy logic control based on a distributed multi-agent system is described in this paper. It is shown that a system composed of a number of cooperating and contending intelligent agents can perform well in terms of sensing the measured input data and producing output control signals.The professor of electrical engineering and computer science has been serving as the interim dean.
