In DS1 Pyromancy's damage comes purely from the level of reinforcement. Stats have no effect whatsoever on its damage, so keep that in mind. With that said, be sure to have spells that are practical in PvE. The ONLY thing that INT affects as related to pyromancy is the melee damage of the pyromancy hand itself. It does not affect the damage of the spells.
